Farewell Party

I returned home Friday from Shasta to celebrate my new adventure with wonderful friends, that I will miss dearly. What a fun and diverse bunch of us! The spread, which was outstanding, included shrimp, homemade salsa, thai rice cooked in a hollowed out pineapple… and then the desserts, homemade apple pie, a peach gallette made by a real french woman, and and an

It's never too late for all American apple pie!

I appreciate the joy and laughter my friends have brought to my life. Thank you all!

Only 3 more sleeps till I depart. Time has taken a distant break from the present as I face some still undecided big decisions. I do well with a deadline and dont mind the pressure, somehow motivates me and centers me at once.

Who will you be when I return? And I?

Mt Shasta

I managed to get away for a couple days to Mt Shasta, it was marvelous, so beautiful. I captured some water from the mouth or “headwaters” of the Mt, making the Sacramento River. I’ve never tasted water so alive! The bed and breakfast was divine and I relaxed entirely. I was able to hike on the mountain 2 days and even befriended the Inn Keepers dog, Kailua, the love beagle. She proved to be the ambassador to Panther Meadows and as we sat in the shade, eager to greet the guests, I took in the amazing vivid green trees and blue sky.
